Recent Skype Spyware - FIX

Many of our customers have recently been infected with a series of spyware/malware via the Skype VOIP application. Typically a user whom you know would have apparently initiated a Skype Text Chat session with you. During this chat session you would have been passed some http:// links, clicking on any of these links would have initiated a malware/spyware download onto your computer. Below follows one possible solution on how you might remove this malware from your computer.

The Solution

1. Download and install Spybot Search & Destroy:

The Spybot Search and Destroy application will assist you in removing certain types of spyware/malware from your computer. THIS APPLICATION IS NOT AN ANTI-VIRUS APPLICATION. IT IS TO BE USED ALONGSIDE YOUR ANTI-VIRUS SOLUTION. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY

After downloading the Spybot S&D application double-click the executable and follow the installation steps as in the video below.

2. Run Spybot S&D to immunize your computer and to remove the malware/spyware:
